Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we lift up the family and community mourning Lydia Nwankwo, slain as she served others in Sokoto state. You have seen her work of love and faithfulness; comfort her loved ones with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Draw near to those who are grieving, and make Your presence known as the One who binds up the brokenhearted. In Sokoto and across Nigeria, dismantle the forces of violence and let righteousness spring up like a well-watered garden. Reveal Jesus to those living in fear and to the gunmen themselves, for even they are not beyond Your reach. May peace reign over this land, breaking cycles of vengeance with Your mighty hand. For the glory of Your name and in Christ's powerful name we ask these things. Amen.
