Pray with the global church

King of Heaven, we bring before You the tense situation in Hong and the neighboring communities of Adamawa State. Christian farmers face threats on all sides as Boko Haram fighters move through their villages. You are our refuge and our strength, a present help even in such trouble. Guard these communities with Your peace that passes understanding. Disrupt the plans of those intent on violence, and let weapons formed against them not prevail. Raise up leaders within and around Hong who seek justice and pursue peace with courage. Reveal Jesus to members of Boko Haram, turning them from darkness to light as You did for Saul long ago. Transform the hearts of all who harbor violence, so that hatred would give way to mercy. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
