Holy One, we lift up the church in Chengdu where believers face arrests and harassment for gathering in Your name. Your Word assures us that even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, You are with us, providing comfort and courage to all who trust in You. Guard these elderly believers detained in Chengdu, let them not be put to shame but find strength in Your presence. Reveal Jesus to those who oppose them — police, officials, and onlookers alike — that they might witness grace and truth embodied. Strengthen Early Rain Covenant Church with steadfastness, making their light shine even brighter in the darkness around them. Let hope rise from their faithfulness as a testament to Your enduring promises. In the name of Christ our Savior we pray. Amen.
