Pray with the global church

Lord of Hosts, we bring before You the testimony of Gu Chuan and the reality of political persecution that he has faced in China. In his search for freedom, may You be the refuge and fortress for him and for all who stand for truth in the face of oppression. Reveal Your peace to those in power, who plot against Your anointed, and let the nations recognize the One whom they must serve with fear and rejoice with trembling. Turn the hearts of authorities and persecutors toward righteousness and mercy. Strengthen the believers in China who carry the weight of surveillance and fear, and reveal Jesus to those who have yet to see His light. We ask this in the name of the One who reigns with all authority, now and forever. Amen.
