God of Freedom and Compassion, we lift up Pastor John Cao, detained in China, and we ask that You would break the chains of injustice that hold him. You are the God who sets captives free and proclaims liberty to the oppressed. Sustain Pastor Cao with Your presence, keeping his heart steadfast and his spirit unyielding in the face of adversity. Reveal Jesus to those who hold him, that they might be transformed by the light of Your truth. Let the compassion of Christ shine in Washington as leaders meet, and open doors for Pastor Cao's safe return home. We trust in Your mighty power to deliver and restore, for the glory of Your name.
