Chinese authorities have released a pastor who was reportedly tortured in detention and accused of endangering national security, more than four years after opening a case against him and two co-defendants over their unregistered church.

God of All Comfort, we give thanks for the pastor's release in China after years of suffering and accusation. Sustain him with Your Spirit of Power as he returns to his community. Let the courage he has shown in suffering become a light to others who are oppressed. Strengthen this pastor with the promise that if we endure, we will also reign with You. May his testimony shine brightly, revealing Jesus to officials, neighbors, and all those questioning their own loyalties and beliefs. Surround this community with Your glory and let Your truth dismantle every barrier that seeks to silence Your Church. You are faithful in all things. Amen.
