Pray with the global church

God of Mercy, we lift up Mahmood Shah Habibi as he remains in custody under Taliban control. May Your light pierce through the darkness surrounding him, and may Your peace guard his heart in this trying time. God, deliver him from captivity as You delivered Peter from prison by the power of prayer and angelic intervention. We ask You to reveal Jesus to those holding him, that they might see truth and mercy in His name. Strengthen his family as they await his return, keeping their hope anchored in Your promise that nothing is too difficult for You. Establish the Gospel throughout Afghanistan so that even amidst opposition, Christ's love would shine brightly. For Your glory and in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
