Pray with the global church

Lord of Hosts, we bring before You the city of Hama and the Greek Orthodox cathedral touched by violence. Despite the damage outside, no worshipper nor child was harmed. We give thanks for Your protection over them — You are their shield and fortress. Comfort those who walk in fear and rebuild what was shattered. Let peace rise from the ruins as a testimony to Your unfailing love. Reveal Jesus to those who live with conflict's shadow, including those who plant such terror. May they come to know Him as Prince of Peace. Strengthen the believers in Syria that they may stand firm and proclaim Your name amid uncertainty. For You are God, our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. In the name of Christ, Amen.
