Pray with the global church

God of Truth, we lift up the Coptic Christians of Egypt who face arrest and intimidation for their expressions of faith. You see every moment spent in isolation and every word spoken against them. In Your steadfast love, guard those held incommunicado from fear, and let Your peace which surpasses understanding rest upon their hearts. Break the chains of injustice that bind them, and let Your light shine through every darkened cell. Speak to officials and onlookers in Egypt; open their hearts to receive the Good News. Even as darkness seeks to silence them, embolden Your Church to shine brightly across Egypt. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, through whom all chains are broken. Amen.
