Pray with the global church

Sovereign Lord, we lift up the Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengdu, where authorities have detained Your people as they gathered to worship. You see every act of oppression and hear the cries of Your children, for You are a refuge to the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Establish Your peace in the hearts of these believers and let their faith not be shaken, that they may continue to stand firm in the grace of Christ. Reveal Jesus to the officials and police officers involved, that their hearts may turn from darkness to light. Let the light of the Gospel shine brightly in Chengdu, and may Your Spirit stir a hunger for truth in all who witness these events. To You belong justice, power, mercy, and glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
