Pray with the global church

God of Compassion, we bring before You the tragedy in the tunnel in India, where lives have been lost and many remain trapped. You know the depths of the earth and the cries of those who are in distress. Stretch forth Your hand to sustain the rescuers and bring hope to those still awaiting deliverance. Comfort the families who mourn and let Your peace be a balm to their aching hearts. Reveal Jesus in the midst of this sorrow, that hearts may turn towards the source of all comfort and truth. Let Your light break into the darkness of this moment, bringing hope and the assurance of Your presence. We ask this in the name of Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.
