Pray with the global church

God of All Comfort, we lift up the church in Heiban, Sudan, where another leader has been taken and fear seeks to overtake Your people. You are a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble — sustain the believers in South Kordofan, and let their faith not be shaken. Reveal Jesus to those who have abducted this leader, and let Your light break into the darkness that surrounds them. Guard the hearts of the church, that they might trust in You at all times and find courage to continue in love and truth. Fill their communities with Your peace, and let the message of the cross bring hope to the lost. For the sake of Your great name, we ask these things. Amen.
