Pray with the global church

Everlasting God, we lift up Mozambique in the wake of Bishop Osório Citora Afonso's tragic murder. You see the questions now shadowing both government and church leaders, and we ask You to bring justice and truth to light. Comfort those grieving this loss with the hope of resurrection, for our times are in Your hands, not in the hands of evil. Reveal Jesus as the Prince of Peace to those stirred by violence or confusion, and let His peace reign over Mozambique. Empower believers there to be steadfast witnesses, shining as lights in a dark place. Let those who have sought harm find repentance and salvation instead. We trust in Your righteous governance over all things and look for Your kingdom to advance through Christ our Lord. Amen.
