Pray with the global church

Living God, we bring before You the church in Algeria, where police detained twelve of Your own during a worship service. You see their plight and hear their cries — remind them today that You are near to all who call on You. Sustain these believers through this trial. Let their faith remain unshaken even in detention, and strengthen their resolve to stand firm in Your truth. Reveal Jesus to the authorities involved, and soften hearts towards mercy rather than hostility. In this moment of adversity, let the light of Christ shine through every believer in Algeria, revealing the hope that is found only in Him. May Your presence be felt so deeply within them that those around cannot help but notice. We entrust this situation to Your mighty hands for the glory of Your name. Amen.
