Pray with the global church

Everlasting God, we call on You for the children of Borno, held captive by jihadists these many months. You see their distress and know each one by name. Stretch out Your mighty hand to deliver them from the shadow of death and set their feet upon solid ground. Guard these young hearts against fear and despair, pouring hope into their spirits even now. Confront their captors with the light of Christ that breaks chains, and reveal Jesus as the true Son of God who rescues and redeems. Strengthen the families waiting in anguish; let Your comfort reach them in whispers of peace. By Your power, turn these dark days into a testimony of salvation, so that all Nigeria might see Your glory and praise You. Through Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.
