Pray with the global church

Lord, we lift up Afghanistan, where believers face the shadow of genocide under the Taliban's rule. You see the suffering of Your children and hear their cries for deliverance. Preserve and sustain the church in this land, that they may endure through persecution with faith and courage. Establish Your justice where oppression reigns, and let Your mercy overflow in the hearts of those who seek to harm. Reveal Jesus to the Taliban leaders and all who are blind to Your truth, turning the hearts of many towards the light. Guard the lives of the faithful, and let their steadfastness shine as a witness to Your unfailing love. For the sake of Your name, let hope rise in Afghanistan, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
