Pray with the global church

King of Heaven, we bring before You the terror-stricken communities of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo where believers have faced violence and loss at the hands of ADF extremists. Thank You for the rescue of these 29 hostages — a reminder that You are near to all who call on You in truth. Deliver many more from captivity and fear, and shield those living under threat. Reveal Jesus to the persecutors, turning them from the darkness of their ways. Strengthen the church in the DRC as they share Your love amidst turmoil. Pour out courage upon those who stand firm in faith despite danger. Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this land. In Christ, our Deliverer, Amen.
