Islamic Terrorists Attack Three Villages in Northeast Nigeria

ABUJA, Nigeria (Christian Daily International–Morning Star News) – Suspected Islamic terrorists attacked three predominantly Christian villages in Adamawa state, Nigeria, on Thursday (Oct. 8), killing at least one person and torching at least one church building, sources said.

Pray →Living God, we bring before You the villages of Adamawa state, where recent violence has left fear and loss in its wake. You are close to the brokenhearted; draw near to those who mourn and bind up the wounds of this community. Establish Your peace where terror has struck, and let comfort rise in hearts that feel abandoned. We ask You to reveal Jesus to those who have carried out these attacks — let them encounter the One who turns enemies into brothers. Strengthen believers there with the courage to stand firm, and pour out a spirit of forgiveness that disarms hatred. Let hope take root amidst ashes, for You are our refuge and strength. We entrust these villages to Your care in the name of Christ, Amen.

Pakistani Christian Families Flee Village After Blasphemy Accusation Sparks Arson Attack

More than 35 Christian families have reportedly fled their homes in Punjab Province, Pakistan, after a Christian man was accused of blasphemy and a mob set fire to his house and shop.

Pray →Lord of Hosts, we lift up the Christian families of Punjab Province who have fled their homes after an accusation of blasphemy led to violence. You see their fear and displacement; guide them as a shepherd carries the weary on His shoulders, and be their refuge while they are homeless. Turn back those intent on destruction, and let peace overcome in this place. Reveal Jesus to those who persecute, and transform the hearts of those driven by anger. Establish Your justice across this land and protect those who call upon Your name. Raise up leaders in these communities who seek peace and not division. We ask for comfort for these families and restoration for what has been lost. May Your love cast out all fear, through Jesus our Redeemer. Amen.

Ex-Muslim violently attacked for following Jesus urges Christians to share the Gospel

Saudi-born Christian evangelist Ahmed Joktan shares how a dream led him to Jesus, the brutal persecution he endured after converting from Islam and why he's urging Western Christians to boldly share the Gospel with their Muslim neighbors.

Pray →Shepherd, we lift up Ahmed Joktan and every believer in Saudi Arabia facing persecution for their faith. In the midst of their trials, make them like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. Strengthen Ahmed to speak boldly of the dream that led him to You, and fill him with grace and truth as he shares the Good News. Reveal Jesus in dreams and visions across Saudi Arabia to those who have yet to know Him. Draw both persecutors and neighbors into the light of Your love, for only You can turn enemies into friends through the power of Your cross. We trust in Your steadfast love, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those crushed in spirit. For Your glory in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
